Dr Georgina Whiting
Georgina is a caring and experienced GP who enjoys working with the entire family across the breadth of general practice. She is committed to providing evidence based care, and to working with her patients to reach their full health potential throughout life’s transitions.
She particularly enjoys assisting women during their reproductive journey, from menstrual issues, contraception, family planning and unplanned pregnancy, to antenatal and postpartum care, perimenopause, menopause and midlife women’s health. She loves looking after babies and children too, with three young kids of her own to keep her busy when not at work.
Georgina graduated from Adelaide University in 2010, and worked in various regional and remote locations in South Australia and the Northern Territory before settling in Melbourne. She obtained a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology while working at the Royal Women’s Hospital, and was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2016, which allowed her to travel overseas to investigate primary healthcare models for women experiencing homelessness. She is passionate about public and preventative health, and also holds a Master’s of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, as well as completing additional training in Sexual and Reproductive Health, and Menopause Medicine. Georgina is an accredited shared care practitioner affiliated with the Royal Women’s Hospital, Monash Health, Mercy Hospital for Women and Box Hill Hospital.
