South Yarra Medical, Hawthorn Medical and Richmond Medical were founded by Dr Dan Moylan and Dr Luke Holden. They have been long term friends since studying Medicine together at Monash University. Dan and Luke continue to own and operate the clinics. Such doctor involvement is becoming less common with the widespread corporatisation of General Practice.

South Yarra Medical was formed in 2007, Richmond Medical was established in 2009, and Hawthorn Medical opened in 2016. The focus has always been to provide an excellent level of healthcare – to the level they would wish for their own friends and family.

Another priority has been to provide the clinic’s GPs with industry leading facilities and working conditions. Consequently, they have been able to attract the most highly skilled and friendly doctors available, to join the team. The clinics are also involved in the training program for General Practice Registrars.
