Dr Poppy Whitchurch

MBBS (Adelaide), DCH (Westmead)

Dr Poppy Whitchurch graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2013. Before becoming a GP, she worked in general medicine, paediatrics, emergency and sexual health across hospitals in Australia and the UK, including over five years in London.

Poppy provides holistic, thoughtful care and aims to create a warm, supportive environment where patients feel heard and respected. She is thorough, kind and values working collaboratively to help patients make informed decisions about their health.

Poppy enjoys all aspects of general practice but her special interests include paediatrics, women’s health (family planning, pregnancy, perimenopause and menopause), sexual health, mental health, chronic disease management, weight management, and caring for older adults. She has completed a Diploma in Child Health through The University of Sydney (Westmead), is a PrEP prescriber and provides medical abortion services.

Outside of her professional life, Poppy enjoys reading, travelling, and spending time outdoors with her young family.
