Dr Tom Dickson completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland, where he also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biomedicine and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Over his training and practice, Tom has worked in a variety of clinical settings including specialities at Monash Health, Emergency relief in Katherine NT and internationally at the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit in Edinburgh UK.
He has a keen interest in Sexual Health and is currenty completing his Masters of Medicine in Sexual Health through the University of Sydney. He is a registered S100 provider able to treat people living with HIV. He is passionate about ensuring LGBTIQA+ health is easily accessible and provided in a confidential and relaxed manner. Tom also has interests in mental health, paediatrics, women's health and minor surgical procedures.
Tom regularly gives up his early mornings to be out on the water, paddling about as a rower. Tom is also a keen Tuba player and was a previous Director of the Queensland Medical Orchestra. On the weekends he is often found tending to his jungle of indoor and outdoor plants and also enjoys pottering around in the kitchen. Tom has previously worked as a Director of the Ashintosh Foundation, which provides the Teddy Bear Hospital to children across South East Queensland along with other charity endeavours.
